"City Life" was produced in New Zealand and often called the suspenseful "Melrose Place" from down under. It was cancelled after the first season because of moderate ratings. But especially in Europe "City Life" was successful and received awards for Best Drama Series and Best Actor of the New Zealand Film & Television Academy for Oliver Driver (Josh) in 1997. Claudia Black portrayed Angela Kostapas, a talented Greek lawyer. In "A Country Practice" Claudia Black played a nurse called Claire Bonacci from 1055 episode to 1058 and in the following ones from 1993 to 1994, after the producer of the Show was changed to another person.

Scenes of the never aired pilot called "Amazon High" were put into "Lifeblood" episode.
Then the TV show where Claudia Black was sent into the stars came. After that she would be considered as one of the greatest Sci-Fi actresses on TV playing Aeryn Sun on "Farscape" (1999). It was created by the genius Rockne S. O'Bannon and produced by Brian Henson (Jim Henson's son. Jim was the creator of Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and Fraggle Rock. Aeryn Sun is an expert strong warrior Peacekeeper woman, she has skills to pilot ships but she is repudiated by her own people, she is wanted by "the bad guys" for being involved in an accident with a few alien prisoners and a human called John Crichton.
