About movies, in 1994 Claudia Black played a main character in "The Good Fruit" Thriller/Comedy but a lot of people remember her in the cult Sci-Fi movie "Pitch Black" (2000) as Sharon "Shazza" Montgomery, a passenger of one cargo ship crashed on a lost planet. It was directed by David Twohy with Vin Diesel in the main role and having a great response for fans and critics. In 2001 Claudia Black played Pandora in "Queen Of The Dammed" horror movie, a sequel of Neil Jordan's "Interview With The Vampire". Unfortunately almost all her scenes were deleted in the Editing Room.
Claudia Black cancelled her wedding in 2003 because Peacekeeper Wars (she filmed it that year) was a very hard work. She delayed it about a year and she finally got married in 2004, they travelled to Italy in their honey moon for two moths. She has a child since December of 2005.
Actually we could see her on TV as a member of the "Stargate SG-1" cast where she plays an ancient Goa'uld leader called Vala Mal Doran. We saw her for the first time on that Show on season 8 "Prometheus Unbound" episode. She got a great response of the fans and she signed to be in 8 episodes of SG-1 season 9. Now she is a complete cast member in season 10. Vala is actually one of the funniest characters of the TV Show and Claudia has proved her abilities for comedy.
Claudia is still working on TV and in 2007 we have seen her in SciFi Channel's "The Dresden Files" as a guest star. She played a new character called Liz Fontaine.
Claudia Black doesn't have only acting qualities, she could get a guitar and she could get on the scenery with a lot of people looking at her and she could start to sing. She likes classic and jazz songs. I'm afraid that we can only listen to her at live events in conventions like Burbank (the great international Farscape convention in LA). As you could see in that picture, she sang in 2003 Burbank Convention when the cast of Farscape, Claudia, Ben, Gigi and all of them arrived at Hilton Hotel and before they answered a lot of questions of their fans. So Claudia was taking the stage over with one of her songs.
Even we can listen to her voice in "Move", one of the Paul Goddard's jazz CD, especially the track called "Groovy".
The new baby of Claudia was born in November of 2007 and she plays Vala Mal Doran again in "The Ark Of Truth" and "Continuum" SG-1 DVD movies.
In 2008 Claudia took part in the episode "Sonata" which was the season finale of CBS' "Moonlight". She played "The Cleaner" and it was a very small role.
Claudia also did another voice over for the DVD movie "Wargames: The Dead Code" playing a super computer named Ripley.
In 2009 Claudia Black played Chloe Frazer, a character developed by Naughty Dog for the Playstation 3 video game Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Claudia also worked with Bioware playing Morrigan, a warrior character in Dragon Age: Origins video game for PC.
2009 was also the year where Claudia Black did voice-over work for the animated movie directed by Gore Verbinski and titled Rango where she played a French character named Angelique. She also started to develop INC, a new series about the power of the people.
Claudia filmed a new independent movie called "Rain From Stars" and directed by Canadian director Stephen Wallis. The story is about a terrifying tale in the 1940's during the trial of one of the most brutal murders of the era.
In December Claudia voiced the Spike TV's 7th Annual Video Game Awards 2009 where she did the live announcing.
In 2010 Claudia appeared on TV again after her work in some video games playing a supporting character named Velvet Road in the NCIS season 7 episode titled Borderland.
