Claudia Lee Black is an Australian actress, known for her portrayals of Aeryn Sun in the sci-fi television series Farscape and Vala Mal Doran in the sci-fi series Stargate SG-1.
Claudia Black was born in Sydney, Australia, where she was educated at the Kambala Girls School.

Acting career (TV)
Claudia started her career playing recurring roles in G.P. (1993) and Police Rescue (1993). Claudia Black became famous by acting in several TV soap operas as a lead or supporting actress in "A Country Practice" (1993) and especially in "City Life" (1996) as a lead actress.
Claudia was cast a a lead actress in Farscape (1999-2002) and Black played one of her greatest roles on TV, the Peacekeeper warrior Aeryn Sun.
Claudia Black was also cast as a recurring role in Stargate SG-1 season 8 and 9 playing Vala Mal Doran and as a lead actress in season 10.

Acting career (movies)
Claudia Black played Shazza Montgomery, a supporting role in Pitch Black, a vampire named Pandora in Queen of the Damned. Black also voiced a few animated roles: Kieru (Stolen Life), Angelique (Rango) and Parker C. Boyd (Strange Frame).

Voice over career (video games)
Claudia Black voiced Chloe Frazer in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the witch Morrigan in Dragon Age: Origins and recently Samantha Byrne in Gears of War 3 among others games.

Music career
Claudia Black is also a professional jazz and classical music singer.
