So I said, "I'm friends with the webmaster of Claudia Black Online and he asked me to thank you for doing the Q&A on the forum. So thank you on behalf of him, myself and all the other members of the site."
And she said, "Oh, it was my pleasure!"
And then she said, "And what's your name?"
"Stephanie"
"Okay, Stephanie, I'll be sure to mention that I talked to you about it!"
I've also sent a few photos that I got from this signing, but most of them didn't turn out that well. They all turned out kind of fuzzy except for the last one. We weren't allowed flash photography for obvious reasons.
Phase 2: 2:00-3:00 - The Talk
Okay, I was fully planning on recording this for everyone, but sadly they threatened to kick us out if we recorded audio or visual.
So basically, she was made of awesome, as usual. She started by talking about her kids and how she finds it so odd that she's a mother of two. She said sometimes she just turns around and thinks, How did that second one get there? She discussed how she found out she was pregnant the first time. She said that she woke up one morning feeling horrible to the point where she got up, lifted her head an inch and had to race to the bathroom. She said she thought she'd either gotten a really bad bug or she was pregnant. Then a few hours later it dawned on her Or maybe I'm pregnant... She took a test but it came out negative. She realized while having lunch that day with Lexa Shanks (Doig) and Lexa's daughter that she really did want to have a baby. A few weeks later she discovered that she'd gotten a false negative and really was pregnant.
Claudia also talked about her career and how she wasn't particularly sure that she could go back to acting - particularly with the hours - while raising two children. She said she wanted to try being a producer and was asked to produce two projects only days after deciding that. She is also trying her hand at writing for a comedy pilot and a project she says would be well suited for SyFy or USA. She said to use social-networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook to show that there would be interest in her projects - fan interest has a major impact.
She answered a few questions, as well. She said she had always considered Vala to be like the little sister Daniel never wanted. She also described Vala as a girl on the brink of becoming a woman, who was completely in denial of that fact. She said it was somewhat similar for Aeryn. She said that she sort of understood from Unending how it could work, so long as Daniel aired his concerns about Vala and shocked her to the point of forced honesty. She did say she also never really considered that someone like Daniel would never be interested in someone like Vala.

"Very well! Very well...well, you know, all things considered. Heh. I mean, you'd assume I'd be a prime candidate for acculturation difficulty, enduring feelings of...displacement and alienation. Perhaps even a little paranoid ideation. Hmm?."-Vala Mal Doran (Stargate SG-1)|
