You should know some of those reporters if you go to our forum. Their nicknames are GreenEggs&Samm and Spacegypsy1. Besides this year we got press passes for the convention and we got a very special achievement for this site, thanks again to GreenEggsSamm for getting this. The final surprise you were waiting for is an awesome interview with Claudia Black at Dragon*Con which was recorded in HD by our friends of WormholeRiders. The interview with Claudia was really awesome and she told us very interesting things you're going to love.

Dragon Con 2009

I should probably start off by saying that Dragon*Con is an "experience." It's similar to Comic Con in that it encompasses everything...literally. There are panels on costuming, TV shows, movies, comics, video games, RPGs, science, etc. etc. etc. You name it and you can probably find it at Dragon*Con. But Dragon*Con is different in that it's run by the fans, for the fans. The staff of Dragon*Con is 100% volunteer and 100% awesome!

This isn't my first Dragon*Con; it's actually my third. My first Dragon*Con was in 2007 where I meet Claudia briefly. Since then I've joined the reporting team at Wormholeriders.com. For those of you who don't know, WormholeRiders is a Stargate based news reporting site. The cool thing about WormholeRiders is that they provide convention coverage in such detail that you feel like you're there.

Seeing that Claudia was going to be at Dragon*Con this year, I offered up a partnership between WormholeRiders ("WHR") and Claudia Black Online ("CBO"). It was a good match and Runciter agreed. PlayItGrand from WormholeRiders was already attending the convention with me so we at least had two reporters. PlayItGrand and I already knew each other. We board our horses at the same barn. We ride together and we compete together so we knew we'd get along fine. Spacegypsy1 from CBO PMed me shortly thereafter and agreed to help out with some of the reporting. After talking with her via e-mail I was very excited to meet her!
