Were you surprised by Stargate SG-l's cancellation?
Yes, because I had relocated my family to Vancouver for what I thought might be a two to three year stay. But, the show had been going for nine years, so part of me was not that surprised that 10 would be their round number.

Was it fun to be back with everyone after the cancellation? You all seem to be very close...
Of course. The people are the highlight.

Tell us about Vala's role in Stargate: The Ark of Truth
I haven't seen the finished product - she may well have hit the editing room floor by now!

How does Vala's relationship with Tomin develop over the course of the film?
We have some sweet moments to play, one of which I believe did hit the floor. Tomin grows into more of a heroic, less naive character, and Vala almost completely stops teasing him, so I guess you could say that their relationship matures quite a lot.

Director Rob Cooper has likened the Ark to today's media - would you agree with that description?
Hmmm... Vala has a line that she says to Adria: "The Ark can only make people believe what is true". Which would negate the above, so perhaps that line also hit the proverbial floor!

What was your favorite part of the shoot?
Catching up with the Vancouver clan!

How has Vala been coping with being the mother of a woman hell bent on destroying the human race?
Denial, her usual MO.

Are you still having fun with Vala? You've been playing her for three years now - how do you feel about her?
She's a super brat. I love her.

Has Vala found her place in SG-1?
Yes! For as long as she is useful to them, and she's not bored...

Daniel and Vala's relationship is a great one - especially for Daniel - she seems to bring out a side of him we don't see very often!
What, the annoyed side of Daniel? Daniel really lets her have it in Unending. Michael and I thought that it was necessary for him to express his frustrations with her before he could even think about being with her. Before that I could never see them getting together at all; they're diametrically opposed.
What did he see in her anyway? She's not that good looking, she talks way too much and her boobs were only big in season 10 when the actress playing her was nursing!

Are you looking forward to making more Stargate SG-1 movies?
I am not aware of any more in pipeline yet.

What else have you got planned for the future?
I generally tend not to make many plans. The gods
always have other ideas...
