The Constellation Awards Nominees were announced this week and Stargate Continuum got six nominations including Best Female Performance in a 2008 Science Fiction Film, TV Movie, or Mini-Series for Claudia Black, Best Science Fiction Film, TV Movie, or Mini-Series of 2008, Best Overall 2008 Science Fiction Film or Television Script for Brad Wright and Best Male Performance in a 2008 Science Fiction Film, TV Movie, or Mini-Series for Richard Dean Anderson.
The Constellation Awards are Canada's annual science fiction awards focused on rewarding excellence in science fiction film and television. The awards are presented and organized by the TCON Promotional Society, the not-for-profit corporation who organize the annual Polaris science fiction event.
Canadian fans of science fiction film and television are now invited to vote in all nine award categories. This year's winners will be announced on July 11th, 2009 at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel, as part of the Polaris 23 Science Fiction Convention.
These awards are three years old and now it's the second nomination for Claudia Black just before the first one she got for the Stargate SG-1 season 10 "Memento Mori" episode in 2007. You can see the full list of nominees on the official Constellation Awards website.
