We have recent news at Comic-Con 09 in San Diego. Claudia Black confirmed that she played a new character in the upcoming animated film directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean) and titled Rango.Claudia Black Online got the information about the name of that role. Claudia played a character named Angelique and she worked with Johnny Depp who played Rango, a lizard and the lead character of the movie. The story is about a household pet that goes on an adventure to discover its true self.
The screenplay was written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street) and the movie will be produced by Verbinski's Blind Wink Productions, Graham King (The Departed) and John Carls (Open Season).
The animation for Rango will be provided by the San Francisco-based Industrial Light and Magic and the studio has slotted the film for a March 2011 release.
